Acceptance of Terms

By accessing our website at www.4kbjj.com, enrolling in any program, attending a class, signing up for a free trial, or communicating with 4 Korners Jiu-Jitsu via any channel (including phone, SMS, or email), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use our services. These terms apply to all visitors, students, trial participants, and parents or guardians acting on behalf of minors.

Our Services

4 Korners Jiu-Jitsu ("4KBJJ," "we," "us," or "our") is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and martial arts academy offering in-person classes, programs, and camps at our physical locations in Texas. Our services include:

• Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes for children (ages 4+), teens, and adults
• Boxing instruction
• Seasonal summer camps for youth
• Free trial classes for new students
• Online appointment booking and scheduling
• SMS and email communications related to programs, scheduling, and promotions

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any service at any time without prior notice.

Eligibility & Minors

Our programs are open to individuals ages 4 and older. Participants under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian who:

• Enrolls the minor on their behalf
• Reviews and agrees to these Terms of Service
• Signs any required liability waivers at enrollment
• Consents to the minor's participation in all training activities

By enrolling a minor, the parent or guardian represents that they have full legal authority to do so and accepts all obligations described in these terms on the minor's behalf.

Membership & Payments

Free Trial: New students are entitled to one (1) free trial class per program. The trial class is provided at no cost and requires no commitment to enroll. Trial classes must be booked through our official booking system.

Membership Fees: Following the trial class, students who wish to continue must enroll in a membership plan. Pricing, payment schedules, and contract terms are disclosed at enrollment and may vary by program and plan type.

Payment: By enrolling, you authorize us to charge your payment method according to the terms of your selected membership plan. All fees are due as specified in your membership agreement.

Cancellations & Refunds: Cancellation and refund policies are governed by the membership agreement signed at enrollment. Month-to-month memberships may be cancelled with written notice as specified in your agreement. Prepaid or contract memberships are subject to the terms of that agreement. We do not offer refunds for missed classes.

Returned Payments: If a payment is declined or returned, we reserve the right to suspend access to services until the balance is resolved, and may assess a returned payment fee as permitted by law.

Code of Conduct

All students, visitors, and guests are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful and safe manner at all times. By participating in our programs, you agree to:

• Follow all instructions from coaches and staff
• Treat all students, instructors, and guests with respect
• Maintain personal hygiene appropriate for close-contact training
• Wear appropriate attire as directed by program guidelines
• Refrain from training if ill, injured, or under the influence of alcohol or drugs
• Refrain from any behavior that is threatening, abusive, or discriminatory
• Not engage in unsupervised sparring or physical contact outside of designated class activities

We reserve the right to remove any student, visitor, or guest who violates this code of conduct without refund of any fees paid.

Assumption of Risk & Liability

By participating in any class, trial, camp, or program offered by 4KBJJ, you acknowledge and agree that:

• Martial arts training, including Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and boxing, involves physical contact and carries risk of injury, including but not limited to sprains, strains, bruises, fractures, and other injuries
• You (or the minor in your care) voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation
• You are physically capable of participating or have consulted a physician if there is any doubt
• 4KBJJ, its owners, instructors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from participation in our programs, except where such liability cannot be excluded by law

A separate liability waiver may be required at enrollment and forms part of your agreement with us.

Photography & Media Release

Classes, events, and academy activities may be photographed or recorded for promotional, educational, and social media purposes. By enrolling and participating in our programs, you grant 4KBJJ a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use your likeness (or your minor child's likeness) in photographs, videos, and other media for marketing and promotional purposes.

If you do not consent to the use of your or your child's likeness, you must notify us in writing at 4kornersbjj@gmail.com prior to attending your first class.

SMS & Phone Communications

Consent to Receive Messages: By providing your phone number to 4KBJJ — whether through our website, booking system, in-person enrollment, or any other method — you consent to receive SMS text messages and phone calls from us, including:

• Appointment confirmations and reminders
• Schedule updates and class notifications
• Promotional offers and academy announcements
• Follow-up communications related to your trial or membership

Message Frequency: Message frequency varies. You may receive up to several messages per week depending on your enrollment status and activity.

Message & Data Rates: Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan.

Opt-Out: You may opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying STOP to any text message you receive from us. After opting out, you will receive one final confirmation message. You will not receive further promotional SMS messages unless you re-opt-in. Opting out of SMS does not affect your membership or enrollment status.

No Sharing for Marketing: We do not sell or share your phone number with third parties for their own marketing purposes. Phone numbers may be shared with service providers (such as our CRM and messaging platform) solely to facilitate communications on our behalf, and those providers are bound by confidentiality obligations.

A2P 10DLC Compliance: Our SMS communications are sent through a registered 10-digit long code (10DLC) campaign in compliance with CTIA guidelines and carrier requirements. All messages are sent with proper consent, clearly identified as coming from 4 Korners Jiu-Jitsu, and include opt-out instructions.

Intellectual Property

All content on our website and materials — including text, graphics, logos, images, videos, and training materials — is the property of 4 Korners Jiu-Jitsu or its content suppliers and is protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, display, or create derivative works from any of our content without our prior written consent.

Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to our services, cancel your membership, or refuse service to any individual at our sole discretion, including but not limited to violations of these Terms of Service, non-payment, or conduct that we determine is harmful to students, staff, or the academy.

Termination for cause (e.g., code of conduct violations) will not entitle you to a refund of any prepaid fees.

Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any dispute arising from or relating to these terms or your use of our services shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, with proceedings held in Collin County, Texas.

You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration against 4 Korners Jiu-Jitsu.

Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms of Service at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of our services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.

We encourage you to review these terms periodically. For significant changes, we may also notify you by email or SMS.
